Prof. Paden gave a Plenary Lecture at the 6th IFAC Symposium on Mechatronic Systems held in Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, April 10-12, 2013. The purpose of the Symposium is to promote activities in various areas of mechatronics by providing a forum for exchange of ideas, presentation of technical achievements, and discussion of future directions.
